Bake Sale at the Fire Station on October 13th from 8-2. Donate baked goods or come by and shop!

Noodle making is coming October 15-16 at 4:30. No experience necessary.

CPR Training will be October 22. Everyone is welcome!

Hay Ride at the church October 27 at 5pm. Hog roast at the Rayn's house afterward.

Setup at Cliff's October 29-30 for Fall Harvest Festival. We need men to help in the barn.

Fall Harvest Festival October 31 at 6pm at Cliff's.

Walk On The Nickelplate will be Tuesday September 25th! Come enjoy the rail trail in fellowship.

Memory Verses are next week! Anyone can recite a verse from memory during morning service the last Sunday in September and October and November (3 times) to be eligible for a $25 gift card drawing. Card will be from Living Water Christian Book Store in Kokomo. Sponsored by our Sunday School.

The Biannual Business Meeting will be today after morning service. All members are invited to attend and participate in discussion of our church business.


Sunday June 3, 2007

Senior Graduation Celebration is today with senior recognition and a reception with cake and punch will follow in the fellowship hall. Keep our graduates in your daily prayer as they move on to a new chapter in life. Mariah Bricks, Amy Dupin, Alicia McGiffin, Janae Sheets and Sarah Winters.

 

Sunday School begins at 9:30 each Sunday morning. There are donuts, coffee and punch in the kitchen from 9:00am until 9:25. Everyone then meets in the sanctuary where prayer is offered, scripture is read and a song is sung. The topic lesson of the day is presented and then everyone dismisses to their class. Happy Mother's Day! There was a Mother's banquet yesterday at the community center. Everyone enjoyed having their mom present!

The Burn's Racing Team told us of the outreach into the racing team we are sponsoring. Their lives and behaviors are always scrutinized by fellow teams and is a great opportunity to witness to others. Yes we have our name across the back of the car! There is a chaplain's service at the Indianapolis track on Sunday's with about 300 people. Most are not Christians and are hearing the gospel message of Jesus. 

Mel Kenyon, an 8 time competitor in the Indianapolis 500 driver and fellow believer will be speaking next Sunday on Mother's Day at the track. Mel was born in Illinois and raised in Davenport, IA, but has long been a resident of Lebanon, Indiana. Thanks to our team Todd, Tina, Trenton, Tyler and Chris.

The Baptism Today will be in the Mississinewa River under the IN-124 bridge. Map

Kyle, Katlyn and Hailey will be baptized today! A fellowship will follow and Bob and Bobbie Williams' house.

The Standridges missionaries to Bolanzo, Italy will be worshiping with us today in morning service. Steve, Stephanie, Simeon and Elisa reside in Bolanzo and are here to recruit support for this mission. Brother Steve will deliver today's message. Lunch will be served just after service. Easter Sunrise Service was very well attended today. The church sanctuary was lit by candle light while Pastor Bill read scripture as the sun rose. Breakfast followed the service and was great! Thanks to everyone involved with the breakfast.

The Standridges will be here on the 15th during morning service to speak about missions. There will be a lunch time fellowship following service.

The Kosciusko Conference will be on the 14th. Everyone is invited to attend.

Women's Retreat was this past weekend and was well attended. There was a great fellowship and a skit about "When the roll is called up yonder." 

Memory Verses were recited by several in this morning's worship service. Memorizing and reciting God's word is a great way to encourage the church. The Teen Sunday School Class recited a version of the Romans Road. Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:8-9, 1John 1:9

Memory Verses are recited the last Sunday of each month. Have one ready to encourage the church next Sunday.

Cook Books and Sewing Fellowship happens each Monday at 6pm. Come enjoy some time of fun and fellowship. 

Women's Retreat is next Friday the 23rd and 24th. The retreat will be at the North Hilton in Indianapolis. See you there!

Palm Sunday is on the 1st of April.

Cookbooks are being produced in the kitchen during the month of March each Monday evening at six. Come join in the fellowship!

Phillip Messer and Family  will be singing worship music today. Brother Phillip will deliver the message and a fellowship lunch will be served after morning service.

Daylight Savings Time will be on the 11th. In the Spring we "spring ahead" in the Fall we "fall back." This is a new concept for this area with this being only our second year of changing time.

Choir Practice  is postponed until March because of weather.

WLAC Women Locally Active for Christ meetings are postponed until March because of weather.

Memory Verse recital is next week. The last Sunday of each month you can encourage the church with a scripture verse from memory.

Bowling Day was today and the whole church was invited to come and fellowship in a friendly game of bowling. There was a fantastic turnout and was a great success! Roberta took the school aged people to McDonalds and then off to bowl. There are pictures in the photo gallery.

Jennifer Cobble and Cristian Acuna were married at 6:30 pm on Saturday February 11, 2007 with a reception at the Community Center. Keep this young family in your daily prayer. There are pictures in the photo gallery.

February Evening Fellowship will be rescheduled for the 2nd Sunday in February due to the Super bowl. Go Colts! (or yay Bears if you want.)

Happy New Year! Watch Night Service was a great time of food, fellowship, prayer and singing. The New Year was welcomed in by prayers at the alter. The absolute best way to celebrate!

The Biannual Church Meeting was today today after morning service. Brother Matt stepped aside as Chairman and a Trustee. Brother Hal was nominated and elected to the serve as a Trustee. The Church Board will elect a new Chairman during the first meeting of 2007. Our Trustees are Brothers Jim, Dave, Rick and Hal.
